The BEE Project is an ongoing installation that considers art as a form of currency in a fabricated exchange economy experience. To date, it has only been done in one location in Fort Worth, TX. This project dealt with the idea of art as an avenue to do something that otherwise wouldn't be "allowed" or accepted under normal circumstances. Participants used art making as currency to obtain an item from a free garage-sale, as a way of exchanging ideas and conversations that might benefit multiple people rather than a monetary exchange for an object that would benefit two people. The existence of the project was made possible through donations from family, friends, and the city, as a means of keeping the integrity of the project alive.
